"The only positive is the location. The room was filthy with stains all over the floor, there was no cold water, both the hot and the cold tap were boiling hot. The toilet was blocked and had to unblock it myself. The shower basin didn't drain properly and so was stood in dirty water when showering. The mug had hairs in it. There were urine stains on the toilet. The whole hotel was just very outdated and dirty and I'm surprised it's still running."

"A relativly New hotel on the seafront. About a mile walk to the harbour, with a bus stop outside. The staff were excellent, rooms were clean and well appointed and breakfast was excellent. "

"The people here are uniformly lovely, eager to please and generally excellent. The property is apparently being run on an absolute shoe string and the budget doesnt run to the basic maintenance of “anything”. Its a time warp back to the 70’s in most regards - and that appears to be the last time anything saw a lick of paint. I met a lot of lovely staff for whom nothing was too much trouble - but the ownership is giving them absolutely nothing to work with. A warren of a hotel that seems largely set up to relieve the elderly of their money in the hope that they dont care anymore or simply dont know any better. Again, an excellent staff trying really hard in a shambolic, crumbling, down at heel hotel. Best avoided in my opinion. "

"Breakfast was wonderful, so was afternoon tea. My only complaint and in this day and age its very important. The wifi in my room was non existent! Worked fine in the main lounge/restaurant area. Coming from another country it was the only way i had to communicate with family members "

"Adult only hotel .parking was ok .The room was clean but standard for the price . Had robes and slippers, bottle of water and tea making facilities. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very polite throughout the hotel Higher management in the bar should be more active if mistakes are made and not wait for a complaint to be made. The spa was really lovely, but had just too many people and we had to sit on the floor with drinks , which wasn’t relaxing.Needs a bigger sitting area or even shelves to put drinks on . We tried the spa again early in the morning which was much better and quieter . Pool was a nice temperature Treatments were nice and staff were very friendly. Noisy floorboards above kind of spoils the relaxing music. For what we paid, everything was really expensive ."
