"Affordable. Served its purpose, but nothing to brag about. Not as clean as I would have liked. I felt like I needed to wash my feet in the sink after taking a shower in their tub with a filthy, moldy tub mat. No ice machine. Curtains were falling off the window because the rods were hung improperly. Had 2 full size beds. The one we initially decided to sleep on had a headboard that fell off when we leaned back against it to watch tv. The other one was ok. The remote was funky. Of course it...

10/10 Excellent
"Great place to vacation for our family of 14; 6 adults and 8 kids 1yr to 12 years old. House was very spacious, especially the main level which included two large dining tables which comfortably sat 8 people. Kitchen was very well appointed with more plates, glasses and utensils than any place we have stayed in past 7 years. Also 2 pot coffee makers, a Keuric, 2- 4 slice toasters and every cooking pot and utensil you could need. The temperature every day during our visits was 90 degrees and humid so the newly covered dock with 2 ceiling fans was a salvation. The 8 grandkids had Great time on the water trampoline. And who knew that the large connect 4 game on the screened in porch would be such a hit….resulting in a single elimination tournament that include all but the 1 and 3 year old.Everyone in our group had a great time and the host Shannon was very congenial and responded immediately to any questions. We are hoping to return next year!"
"Jeannie the owner was very easy to communicate with. Always responded to my questions. The house was neat and clean. Plenty of seating options and the view of the lake from the front sunroom and deck were beautiful. We loved the water and spent the afternoons on the deck or in the water. Very accommodating and hope to book again in the future. "
"Our family has been coming to LKG for almost 15 years. Our teenagers have grown up spending a week with their cousins on the lake and everyone from ages 10 - 50 said this was their favorite place. The home is beautiful, the dock setup was awesome, and everything was better than advertised. "

10/10 Excellent
"We were so happy to be back at The Great Escape this year!! This vacation has become an annual family tradition, and the property is perfect for our large and multi-generation family group. The home is well appointed, the slope and size of the lot makes it easily navigable, and the dock provides lots of fun for the.kids! We did experience an unavoidable issue with the upstairs AC unit during our stay, and the owners responded so quickly to ensure the issue was fully repaired within 24 hours. We can't wait to come back next year!!"
