"All in all solid for the price. Staff was very friendly. Actually startled me with a hello once which was a cool surprise. Breakfast included was nice. They had quality yogurt and the waffle was delicious. The coffee left a little to be desired, but I wasn’t expecting perfection. I do hope they update their towels soon as they were stained and looked fairly seasoned. I would also like to see a deadbolt or another security feature on the door although the area did feel pretty safe. I had a great night sleep and would stay here again. Thanks. "

"Confirmation 73024356150006. Holiday Inn Express Port Lavaca, Tx. Checked out today. I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding a recent stay at your hotel. The experience was especially concerning given that it involved accommodations for my handicapped parents. We had specifically reserved a handicap-accessible room with a shower to meet their needs. Upon arrival, we were informed that the room was unavailable due to a water leak. While I understand that maintenance issues can arise, there was no adequate alternative provided that met accessibility requirements. Additionally, the room we were assigned was not clean, which further added to the frustration of the situation. The most serious issue occurred when the elevator was not working. This left my handicapped parents with no choice but to walk downstairs, creating a significant safety concern and unnecessary hardship. When I approached the front desk for assistance, I was met with an unprofessional and dismissive response. I asked what my parents were supposed to do given their condition, and Erica at the front desk replied, “What do you want me to do about it?” This lack of empathy and customer service was extremely disappointing. This experience fell far below expectations, especially for a brand that is expected to provide accessible accommodations and respectful service. "Amenities, ran out, I asked if they would refill which they did but a lil late for us. Waffle maker stopped working, guess it was too many plugs going. Our rooms door had a gap on the bottom that you could see light."
