"I stayed 1 night at the lodge Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and nice room. I was booked by Expedia. The only disadvantage with the lodge you are not allowcyo use the solent swimming pool."

"No air conditioning but there was a dyson fan and a heater. Room had a coffee machine, mini fridge, hairdryer and a handheld steamer. We stayed in a room overlooking the harbour and it was very quiet. You couldn't hear any noise from the pub next door. Room was modern and very clean. The bed was huge (king) and very comfortable. There were places nearby to get breakfast and is very close to a Sainsbury and M&S food (Apr26)."

"The location is fantastic. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with all the amenities. The breakfast and dinner menus provided excellent options and the foods was delicious. Great selection of beers on tap, too. The restaurant staff and hotel staff were all extremely attentive and friendly. If we get the chance to return to Southampton, we will definitely stay at The White Star. Note: the hotel is at the corner of a hopping night spot on weekends. It can get noisy."

We could barely squeeze by the bed whereas the two other couples we were travelling with did have rooms as advertised."

"We have stayed at Ennio’s on numerous occasions; each and every time, we are guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome (as I believe all guests get). Condition of property is excellent. To top it off there is a lovely restaurant, with a totally authentic Italian vibe- it can appear a little intimidating, but staff are great. Can’t recommend Ennio’s highly enough."
