"The refit has clearly cost a lot of money, spent on quality furnishings, public areas and bedrooms. Our bathroom was well presented, with a good shower. Our bedroom was spacious, characterful and well decorated. There was one friendly, efficient member of the waiting team, Briony, but she had been left on duty with brand new, untrained, young staff. The menu was restricted, the steaks were lovely, but the pie was poor. On both evenings we were not offered a dessert menu after main courses. Breakfast service was chaotic, but the full English was okay. Handy for visiting Stonehenge."

"Stayed here a few days for a personal retreat, to have a nice quiet place to sit and work, in pleasant surroundings. This place was perfect for that. Ticked all my boxes: parking, en-suite bathroom, desk in room. There is a common area with microwave oven and cutlery and plates/bowls and tea/coffee (there is tea/coffee and kettle in the room anyway), so I never ran out of hot drinks. The view outside my window was very pleasant - a green field sloping up to some houses in the distance. Just what I needed."

"Absolutely wonderful staff, we got upgraded to a suite which was a bonus as it was our wedding anniversary. Treatment area is absolutely amazing and so relaxing, you can sit pre and post treatment to relax. Treatment was amazing!! Despite us being informed that a member of staff was off sick in the morning, so my husband and I had half the treatment time each, it was still amazing. Lunch was decent and breakfast was cooked upon request and tasted good. Thank you for a memorable experience!! The only downside was that there are no restaurants nearby, so we had to get a cab to the nearest one which proved a nightmare when trying to get back around 11."
