"This is a lovely old building with a lot of character. Parking was included in our room rate and when we visited, we had no issues with finding a car park within the hotel grounds. Our room was spacious, and gave us everything we needed. It was quiet and the bed was very comfy. It was a short easy walk into town. We ate both breakfast and dinner there daily. Both were at additional cost to our room rate, but we felt we got good value. The 45.00 GBP pp for a 3 course evening meal was excellent value for money given the quality of the food and staffing. Probably too much food if you have had a late lunch. The second day we ate lighter during the day so that we could enjoy our evening meal more. The breakfasts were very good. On site bar area and sitting rooms were very relaxing. The resident rabbits in the garden were cute (even though we know they are vermin). This was a lovely place - we were there for 2 nights as part of a month long UK driving holiday. I would stay at this Hotel again."

From great local tips to thoughtful little touches, their attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. The breakfast was simply outstanding—fresh, delicious, and served with a smile. We felt truly cared for throughout our stay and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a warm and memorable Lake District escape."
