"The hotel and the room were neat and tidy! I will say that this hotel should not be rated as a 4 star hotel as it’s not a luxurious stay. The breakfast was great, but other than that, it’s a normal hotel with your basic amenities."

"We stayed at The Essenhaus 2 nights. What a nice, nice stay! The outside was well kept, the rooms were nice and clean and well kept. The pool and surrounding facilities were nice too! The stay was quiet, peaceful, calming and relaxing. It was a very nice time for a respite from a busy schedule. Everyone who worked at Essenhaus helped make the time away an integral part of the whole experience. We thank you for an enjoyable stay and great memories!"

"We enjoyed the large room and bathroom with jetted tub. The hot tub was not operating due to mechanical issues and we were told parts were on order. The hot tub blower motor was broke. Still had hot water. The pool & hot tub were dirty. Nothing was vacuumed in the pool or hot tub."

"This is an incredible property with very responsive hosts, they even reached out after check in to ensure we had everything we needed. The cottage was clean and well organized, had everything we needed. There was ample indoor and outdoor seating, although our favorite was by the water. The lake is clear and perfect for swimming or paddling. It is in a nice land quieter area, so would not recommend it for parties or louder groups. We hope to come back!"
