"Location is perfect for those arriving by train, and easily walkable to the city center. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is lovely and has been renovated with an attention to detail. The elevator only goes to the 3rd floor, so walk up to floors 4 and 5, but staff was very clear about that. Would stay here again. "

The food is delicious (the pizza at the bar was the best I had in the UK!), with great selection at the breakfast buffet. Comfortable bed, small bathroom, but that’s to be expected in an older hotel. Love the history! Byron stayed there once upon a time. Strong recommend if you’re in Harrogate."
