"This rustic cabin was the ideal " home away from home" for my first visit to Vermont. It had all the amenities one could ask for, yet at the same time had a distinct "glamping" vibe. The town of Warren, just 3 miles away, is charming and there is an endless array of hiking opportunities in the immediate area, including a beautiful trail right outside your front door. I wanted to visit all the small towns along route 100 and after visiting Stowe and Woodstock, both of which were teaming with tourists and traffic, I was so glad that I had chosen Warren as my home base. Finally I can't say enough about Jill and John who were superb communicators and gracious hosts. But be forewarned: Jill's culinary recommendations may cause weight gain!"

"The hotel and our room were clean. The front desk staff upon arrival and departure were very personable and helpful. We attended the Norwich University Class of 1976 banquet during which the food was very good."

"This is a gem! The carriage house is cozy, well appointed and had everything we needed and an incredible environment inside and out. From here we went to Montpelier, Warren and their 'almost world famous' general store, Lincoln Gap, Woodstock and Queechee. Each as a great day excursion with incredible leaf peeping on every road and mountain area. We went on fabulous hikes (short and long ones all over) every day all around our day excursions. The hosts are very friendly and kind and their two well behaved labs are an added bonus making it all feel like home. The kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living area are all good sized, well stocked and comfortable. Attention to details make this a dream place set in a stunning rural setting."

"Lovely cabin by the lake. Host provides plenty of bedding, towels and kitchenware. Short walk gets you to the dock where you can enjoy the crystal clear water. Neighborhood is very quiet with little traffic. You are not right on the lake but can see the water from the cabin. Nice fenced in yard for kids or dog. Only negative we had was the bed was not comfortable for my husband and I. Otherwise, cabin is what you would expect for a property that is 100 years old."
