Set on the other side of the River Teign, accessed via a bridge or foot ferry from Teignmouth, the village of Shaldon offers plenty of charming pubs and two pretty beaches, one of which is accessed via a historic smugglers’ tunnel. Popular destinations beyond Teignmouth include the famous English Riviera (6 miles) and Dartmoor National Park (12.5 miles).

If you’d rather sleep down on the ground floor, you’ll find there is a 4’ fold up double bed for use if required.

There is a mooring trot on the beach directly outside the property that could be used (at guests own risk) for a small boat or kayak, the use of this is to be arranged with the property owner. Private parking for one small car is available and there are pay and display car parks close by.
