Beautiful clean room, Onsen was great and so relaxing. Dinner was traditional Japanese and as good as I’ve EVER had. I would 100% recommend to anyone. We intend to return frequently.

Wonderful. I could've stayed an extra week! I heard that most guests only pass through for a couple of days. What a shame! If you have the time or need a break from city life, this is a great spot. Amazing food, beautiful property grounds, best service (especially Yuji was super helpful and kind) . Highly recommend this Ryokan!

The property itself was super spacious. The best part was using the whole building to our own. We didn’t get bothered from anyone, nor did we bother someone else. The Onsen was also very enjoyable. I would definitely come back here with my family again.

Great Ryokan. The property is beautiful and it's not far from the Kumamoto limousine bus stop (the hotel gives you rides to and from the stop anyway). Very interesting landscape and loved the osen. It is one of the few private osens where I could bathe with my partner. One thing that should be made clear on the Expedia description is that you can only pay with cash!

This was a gem of a hotel in the middle of NOWHERE. But I can't fault the hotel with that. The hotel was very clean, staff was nice and my room is huge for even Western standards. Just nothing to eat around that location... 😯

We found this place the last minute after we decided to stay for overnight instead of making it a day-trip from Fukuoka. Absolute good decision! Everything is so good: room, staff, and the venue. Love it.

Absolutely amazing stay. Loved the traditional Japanese styles they used and the in-room onsen was so cool! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great traditional Japanese luxury stay at an affordable price!

A really nice Japanese style Onsen Hotel with great staff and a warm atmosphere. Their traditional Japanese breakfast was amazing as was the family onsen. Just a short walk from the train station and super close to all the shopping and food stores on the Main Street.

All the facilities in this hotel were very clean, operational, and fantastic to use. In particular, the staff in this hotel were absolutely amazing. They were the most friendly and welcoming people that we have ever met, especially the staff in the restaurants. The food served was very fresh and delicious as well.
