"We enjoyed our one night in this Ryokan. It was fun and authentic. There was a certian peace and relaxed mode that it put us on. We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens). The room #24 was spacious, clean, and well kept. Yes, we wore the provided pajamas/yukata. The shower had great pressure and was also spacious. Friendly staff and food at the restaurant was yummy. The gardens were beautiful traditional Japanese gardens. As always, loved the toilet/bidet. Loved this spot!"

"The first room we had was dirty so they quickly changed us to a clean room. They are militant about taking your shoes off here, we loved the free dessert bar, but overall the hotel was absolutely packed with tourists and kind of crazy. The staff, however, went above and beyond to take care of every need we had. The rooms are small for us Americans but the bed was comfortable. "

"Fairly average experience overall. It wasn't bad, it just didn’t compare with the other 3 properties we stayed at throughout our trip from an experience or property standpoint. "

"Great property and well kept grounds. The onsen was fantastic. Welcome drink and breakfast were nice touches. They set up a baby crib and baby bedding and blanket for us, which was perfect. Only draw back is the location is a 10-15 minute walk to train station and restaurant area. They also did not have room for us for dinner in the hotel lobby "

"We had a wonderful experience at Koko Hotel! Modern and extremely clean, fantastic location (5 min walk from both Karasuma and Tozai subway lines which made exploring the city manageable), located on a side street (quiet), kind, helpful and gracious staff (who gave us great recommendations re: navigating the bus system). We loved it! Highly recommend."
