"I stayed here for 8 days and it was such a pleasant experience. Meander 1948 was kind enough to offer a free guided tour with one of their amazing employees PJ (keep in mind to pay for your own transportation fares and meals expenses which is roughly under $500 TWD equivalent to just about $16 USD) along with the hotel company treating to a delicious fun dessert snack at the end of the tour. It all depends how much you want to drop as well, this is just a guesstimate combining expenditures for the day. The 8 bed dorm room was super comfortable. The lounging area is very peaceful and tranquil. You meet such cool amazing people in there that are traveling or studying abroad. It’s central to lots of fun and local spots. One of the night markets (Ningxia) is about a 10 min walk. The MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) is only a block or two away from the hostel. It’s just such a great location and super affordable. Highly recommended as a solo traveler. The Meander staff is super helpful and will provide any information to help in any way possible. Thanks Meander 1948. "The room was clean and nice, it had everything I needed. I was able to check in early when I came at 2pm Even though their check in time is 5pm. The staffs were really friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient for us to get everywhere we wanted to go, close to the Taipei Main Station which really great. "

"Wonderful staff, Gary and Lynn were great help! Beautiful rooftop bar, 17 floors high to look over the great city night lights. The hotel room was very clean, the soaking tub was great at the end of a long day. Only downside was the bed was much more firm than I prefer. "

"The machine check-in /check out was a love and hate feeling, it was cool and check-in and check out took like a minute, but because there was no one and the front desk there was no one to ask to get info. The room was good, I will say it is a 8/10. We like that they had room service daily without a choice whether you want it or not, and they were quick in and out of the room but got things done. The reason I took 2 points out was that the room was always musty without the AC, and there were some molds in the bathroom wall. Other than that we enjoyed the stay."
