Adventures of the A-frame- 3BR w/ Hot Tub, Backs to forest- Dogs OK!

*Tahoe is a beautiful and fun place to visit, but occasionally this area can be affected by extreme weather events. While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.

Dog-Friendly - Hot Tub - Trails Right Outside- Short Drive to the Beach!

"Adventures of the A-Frame" is a unique North Tahoe Vacation Rental home on a private road backing up to 400 square miles of forest. This adorable A-frame Cabin was built in the '60s and is newly decorated with period correct furnishings with 60's flair. Centrally located between Tahoe City and Tahoe Vista, and near the stunning shores of Carnelian Bay in Lake Tahoe, this three-bedroom Mad-Men stylized Tahoe cabin is a perfect getaway for family and friends. You will love the environment created here, with it's cozy wood stove, well-equipped kitchen, as well as plenty of outside amenities between the front and back porch areas both shaded by pine trees but sunny enough to warm your soul. While renting this compact Tahoe A-frame, the possibilities for adventures are enormous outside it's doors.

Perfect for those who don't want to forgo style for adventure, the home backs up to well loved Tahoe forests making hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing a breeze. It is a 5-minute excursion to the lake and about a 5-8 minute drive to Tahoe City with restaurants, bars, cafes, and even an organic grocery store. "Adventures of the A-Frame" is centrally located to all of the major ski areas of North Lake Tahoe (Incline, Homewood, Mt. Rose, Northstar, Squaw Valley, and Alpine Meadows). Tahoe City Cross Country Ski Area with its 65-kilometer trail network is right out the door.

The living room has plush comfortable seating, a 47” flat-screen TV with Apple TV, and a Blue Ray player. The wood stove puts out plenty of BTUs of heat, so bring some wood along if you really want to get the full experience in winter! The mod dining room table has 5 comfortable chairs or, spread out and put 3-4 at the table and up to 3 at the breakfast bar. The well-equipped kitchen is perfect for making family-style dinners or tasty appetizers to share out on the sunny quiet deck surrounded by towering pines. There's nothing like Dining alfresco in Tahoe!

Down the hall from the living room lies a full bathroom and a compact King Bedroom. The other bedrooms are situated up the ship-like staircase. Please do note that the stairs going to the upper bedrooms are somewhat steep, and can sometimes be challenging for young children, or those with mobility challenges. To the right as you walk up the stairs lies another King bedroom, and to the left, a bedroom for the teens... with two twins and a full. A shared room for kids to sit on beds next to one another and whisper about the days adventures after the parents have dozed off. This house provides the perfect base camp for your Tahoe Adventures.

The shores of Carnelian Bay lie down the street, and the nearest public beach is situated about 5 minutes away with a robust variety of water sports from boating to kayaking to stand-up paddleboarding. Bring Fido too as Carnelian Bay is known for being ultra- dog friendly!

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
-Please Note- The stairs going to the upper bedrooms are somewhat steep, and can sometimes be challenging for young children, or those with mobility challenges.
-This is an older cabin and sounds travel between all of the spaces fairly easily due to its A-frame nature. Guests walking on the stairs or in the upstairs rooms may prove to be audible to those downstairs.
-Important, this property does not have air conditioning. Air conditioners are extremely unusual in North Lake Tahoe.
-This is a dog-friendly house but in order to bring a dog, you must pay a $100 dog fee per dog, 2 dog maximum. If you bring a dog without paying the dog fee, you will be subject to a fine much greater than the pet fee.
-Additional Fees include cleaning fee, administration fee, and local Transient Occupancy Tax. Check out time is 10 AM.
-SUMMER 2023 UPDATE: There is construction going on in nearby proximity to this house. Some noise and nuisance should be expected. Unfortunately, this is not something that we have any control of but local ordinances do limit the times of construction. (Placer county does not permit construction between the hours of 8pm-6am) and are typically not active on the weekends.

BED CONFIGURATION:
Downstairs Bedroom: King
Upstairs Bedroom 1: King

Fun in Tahoe

Had lots of fun staying here with my family. We had everything we needed. Dining table chairs were a bit wobbly but my husband took care of that. The house has a wonderful Hollywood vibe. We were only able to use the hot tub once because we were hardly there due to all the great swimming activities nearby. We had a great time! Would rent again! .
