Otherwander Soho Pod Hotel

"Honestly couldn't recommend this place enough for the price and location! We booked very last minute due to being down by our BnB host, but actually feel staying at Otherwander worked out better and we are definitely going to book here again for future trips to London. The whole place was really clean and modern, and the staff were very helpful and ready to answer any questions. The nest itself had ample storage for both our small cases and backpacks (and there were rentable storage lockers on site for anything larger!) and had individual temperature control - VERY appreciated during a heatwave! The chill-out area in the lobby was also lovely and there were vending machines available for snacks and drinks, not that you really needed them as the location is so central - only just off Oxford Street, Soho just a couple of minutes' walk and right next to Tottenham Court Road underground station if you need to adventure further afield :)"

"The staff were friendly upon arrival and the self checkin process is fairly straightforward. Our room was fairly simple and very minimal; only two bunk beds, hooks on the wall and what I believe was a scarf ring. We used our checkin luggage as a little table to place some items as there was nothing available for us to use. The restroom was nice and clean however, I felt that most of the items are very low placed; the sink was so low, mirrors were low and I had to squat a bit to be able to see my head. The property is super clean and has a strong clean perfume smell in their lobby, but can get a bit too strong and concentrated near the elevator corner. The cafe downstairs was fairly convenient and staff were always friendly to fill our water bottles with free ice and fresh water, so that was nice. This may be a first world American problem, but I wish the downstairs gym was an included amenity for guests to use, but you have to download an app and buy a separate pass to use it. Ultimately, it’s an okay place that has what you need; a room with AC, a bed and a working restroom, but you can’t beat the price for the place you’re at in London. You are truly in the heart of everything and can easily walk towards any direction and create a whole new adventure. Would definitely stay here again on a solo trip"

"Upon arrival for our one night stay we were told that our room wasnt ready despite us being there 45mins past the check in time, so we were invited to have a cocktail in the bar whilst we wait, not a big deal. Then a few more things went wrong, we were sent to the wrong room then the correct room wasnt what we booked. So a pretty disappointing start but with the help of 2 lovely staff members Joe and Ryan, they not only resolved the issues but as an apology far exceeded our expectations and this ended up being one of the best staycations we have had in london. So thank you Joe, Ryan and the sea containers"
