"Had a lovely room on top floor with huge picture windows and great view of the river and the bridges. Room had all amenities and was spotless. Bed very comfortable. Not very many channels on the tv was the only negative to the room. Reception staff very helpful and welcoming at check in and provide all the necessary information required for your stay. Also very accommodating when I needed to contact them about a personal issue. Parking is very convenient with a lift straight down to the lobby. This was my third visit and I hope to visit again on my next trip to Newcastle."

"The hotel was clean and the room was large with storage and tea/coffee. We didn’t use the facilities or have breakfast but everything was very good. We would stay again"

"I stayed at this hotel for the great north run and it worked pretty well, easy access to the metro station that takes you to central Newcastle, got a bus back from South Shields. The metro will get packed very soon so it's better to stay in Sunderland than somewhere in the middle. The room soundproof is pretty good, Sunderland was playing in the stadion the night before, and that wasn't a problem."
