"Mostly very clean, except sliding glass doors. Would have cleaned myself but no cleaning materials on site. Wanted to love this place. We have stayed in other units but were delighted to find a first floor unit. The good: well equipped, comfortable, plenty of towels, and beach stuff. Nice patio area. The bad: communication was awful. Don't know if the problem is with the owner or RedAwning. "This house is fantastic! The view as stated by many is incredible, plenty of AC units to keep the entire house cool, and the owners truly care about cleanliness. Plenty of cooking utensils, ingredients to help with, extra sheets, pillows, beach accessories, etc. We rented a big Toyota Sienna Hybrid and could go up the driveway forward but couldn’t go up reverse, not an issue at all really. The only aspect I wish was clear in the property listing is the house rules quiet hours starting as early as 9pm. We had in the back of our heads that we were too loud just laughing and talking and watching movies at night that it gave the tiniest bit of hindrance to being ourselves. I don’t clearly see this listed in the property details on VRBO, the quiet hours starting at 9pm due to the caretaker living below. None of these take away the 5/5 star overall experience! Thank you!"

"Loved the pool my kids had such a good time! The sunsets were amazing and all the birds lizards and occasional visit from a black cat drinking from the pool early morning was so wonderful. I really enjoyed walking the neighborhood at night and checking out all the unique homes and beautiful lighting of the homes. My daughter even found a free little library on a walk and got a new book. Bring a flashlight though to avoid walking on critters out and about though. The fans inside really helped cool down the place when it was warm. The home is so warm, comfortable, and inviting. Highly recommend this home!"

"The host was very responsive, kind and informative. Made the process so easy. The views are outstanding!! House was very comfortable for 6 adults and 2 teens. Everything is provided for the beach, with umbrellas, chairs, coolers, towels, and water gear. It was convenient and helpful to have beach supplies available. Will stay again next time in Kona!!"

"We had an amazing stay. The house was spotless when we arrived, and it was clear that everything had been thoughtfully prepared for guests.One of our favorite parts was the kitchen. We cooked breakfast and dinner there almost every day, and it was stocked with absolutely everything we needed, from cookware and utensils to the little things you don’t usually find in vacation rentals. You can tell the hosts took time to make sure guests have everything they needed and made it feel like cooking from home.We also made great use of all the beach gear. Having chairs, toys, beach towels, and a cooler available made our beach days so much easier and saved us from having to rent or buy anything.The beds were incredibly comfortable, and everyone slept great after long days exploring the island. The home is peaceful, well-maintained, and has beautiful views that made every morning and evening special.Super quiet neighborhood.We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-equipped home base in Kona.Small gripes—- We had a hard time finding remote controls to the tvs, turns out they were in the couch cushion.There were baby geckos running around inside, but they didn’t bother anybody. Kind of cute actually.And not having a direct phone number to text someone with questions was annoying. But the host responded quickly to email when we reached out to request an early check in."
