"I enjoyed my 2 night stay. The entire room was clean the staff were helpful, pleasant, and cheerful. The only cons were the squeaky bed and the loud AC unit. These are both not the end of the world for me. I will definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to friends and family."

"We had such a great time here. This was one of the first theme rooms we’ve ever stayed in, and it exceeded every expectation — comfortable, roomy, and true to the period. The whole property was a pleasure: hammocks, Adirondack chairs, a nearby playground, and a peaceful area to walk in the evenings.Debbie, our host, went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Her hospitality made our stay even better. If we could give her and the property more than 5 stars, we absolutely would.The location is unbeatable — close to the casino, Misquamicut Beach, Mystic, and everything else. We really enjoyed our stay."

"We stayed at the Carriage House in Mystic, Connecticut September I-11, 2026. Check in was seamless and everything was as advertised. I couldnt have asked for more. Every detail was addressed before we got there, even the apple pie slices. We enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay with Debbie and Paul if we have another opportunity."

"Property is very well kept, but there are minor details that need to be remedied to have it earn 5 stars. First, it is listed as 1 and a 1/2 bath, this is simply not accurate. There was one full bath, which was exceptional, but then there was a sink in the master bedroom and an outside shower. A half bath implies a toilet. Fix the listing. One toilet for 7-8 people, not ideal. That was the major issue we had. The other items we could work around - no pot holders or trivets (if there were, we couldn’t locate them. No beverage glasses, only wine and coffee mugs. Another item worth mentioning was the placement of the tv in the grand room on the second floor. It should be moved to the corner and angled so those on the couch can see without a full turn of the head. Also, current placement of the tv makes watching during the morning hours impossible due to the sun glare from the beautiful window (that is shadeless).The last item worth mentioning is the sink in the master bedroom, while looking quite beautiful, was simply impractical and essentially non functional. If it is there only for water use (to drink), then put a sign - as there was no practical way to wash one’s face or brush one’s teeth. Please know we mention these things to make your VRBO listing the true exception that the house could be. Otherwise a very nice stay for our long weekend getaway."

"My friend and I had only 3 days to enjoy this property but we had such a good time that it felt like we were there longer. Our 2 dogs also had an amazing time. We really enjoyed swimming, kayaking and just plain sitting on the dock watching the sky change. There was a good amount of wildlife like fish and great blue herons. It was very quiet and restful and I hope I get to go again."

"This house is amazing! From the location right down to the decor. Everything was meticulously thought out and there is every amenity available to you.The house is incredibly clean and sleeps many. There is ample outdoor space and a very big fire pit.There are two things I would suggest:1. Hang art work created by local artists and have them available for purchase. We definitely would have bought something. We loved all the art work.2. Clear a path for the trail. We couldn’t walk through it because the grass is very long. Amazing place. Book now!"
