Waldport Bayfront Hotel and Restaurant

"I made a mistake when I booked the date. The front desk attendant went out of his way to make it possible for us to stay despite my mistake. The property was older but has been updated in every way possible. The beds were comfortable and clean. There is no A/C but none was needed. It is right on the waterway and the restaurant on site was excellent, fantastic service, welcoming atmosphere, all handmade Italian, including the pasta. They offered local wines and a nice range of cocktails. A lot of the locals must eat there as well. The pool was not open and looked to be in repair but we would not have used it anyway. Great location from the scenic byway. Thank you!"

"Love how close we were to the beach, had our own path. Little bit of a hill to go over. The house was clean, though not updated. There were some stains on the carpet. Looking at previous reviews, I personally had no issue with hot water for showers, but my mom and brother took showers at the same time in two of the down stairs bathrooms so they did get cold water quickly. The stoves burner was horrible, they really need a new stove. The windows definitely should be cleaned so you can see the ocean and sunset clearly. The downstairs bed in room that has a door to the driveway needs a new bed. It was like the left side was an air bed, you sink down. All the other beds were great. For the price, we would stay there again, but suggest updates and there can charge a bit more."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From the minute, we drove up and parked the car, it was a wonderful experience. Our grandchildren, who are 13, 11, and 10, were so excited about the fact that they could just take over that top floor with the two bedrooms and bathroom. And the fact that there was private beach access was the frosting on the cake! We felt like we had our own personal beach. The house was clean and in good working order. We all had a wonderful time. We will definitely consider this property again when we make future beach, vacation plans."
