"We had a wonderful time at the property. The kids loved their own room and the hot tub. The home was clean and had everything you could need. The outdoor shower was a hit. I dont think we showered inside the whole trip. Lol. The house is central to all the major hikes and short rides everywhere else. If we come back to hocking hills. We would 100% stay here again! "

" We saw the pictures online, but when we drove up the hill into the woods and saw the cabin it took our breath away. We walked in and felt like it was made just for us. It was clean, welcoming, and so well decorated. The little touches made it feel inviting. The theme throughout was trees and woods, just like the surroundings. The Sweet Sage Retreat is situated on acres of land and is so quiet. The upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and windows with views. We choose the downstairs king bed because with the lights out, it is silent and as dark as you need. My wife is ultra sensitive to light and sound and this was a sanctuary for her. This 5 day 4 night stay was our first vacation with just the 2 of us (70 years old, married 47 years) for over 10 years. My wife doesn't travel well, but we recently bought an Outback it has allowed us to be comfortable, so this is our first trip were she has felt decent. She enjoyed just being in the living room on the top floor with the great views. We were a 20 minute ride to Logan for shopping and meals out. We were less than 15 minutes to Ash Cave and Cedar Falls and a little further to Old Man's Cave. My wife was able to go on two outings of hiking. I am a birder and had my binoculars wherever we went. From the cabin's deck and walking down the drive I was able to identify over 25 species of birds. I gave the owner a list of what I found. "

"Great cabin! Love how it's secluded with plenty of lawn to explore, surrounded by trees, and a little pond. We had everything we needed and enjoyed spending time relaxing on the porch overlooking the property. "

"This is a very nice home that work great for our group of 6 adults and 8 children from ages 1-16Property is in a secluded area and not too far from many of the hocking hills hikes.The outdoor covered porch area was very nice to sit under in the late afternoon and evening hours. The kids had plenty to do thanks to the games available and the hot tub!"

"I would have to say the things that made the most impression on me was it was so QUIET!! All we heard were birds and the rustling of brush as a deer came out to visit. The cabin is small but has open ceiling with a spacious loft. The kitchen was small but had what we needed to fix meals. Plenty of towels and hot water was an appreciated plus! The hot tub was clean and hot to relax in. There wasn’t any yard but a spot to have a campfire. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed the woods."

"Loved the solitude of the place. While we were initially a bit concerned when we found out they were still in the process of getting internet, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It gave my wife and me the opportunity to truly reconnect and enjoy focused, quality time together—without all the usual distractions. Sometimes, unplugging is exactly what you need. A wonderful weekend getaway!"
