"Perfect stay for a solo traveller"

"Our room had a very ugly view over the bins and kitchen extractor fans. This created a loud hum until around 10pm and also brought some cooking smells into the room. The walls are also very thin and we could hear the room next door very clearly. However, after midnight the noise died down and it was quiet. The hotel is in a nice, very rural location."

"Charming pub in a very good location in Tenterden high street - excellent if visiting Chapeldown or the Kent and Sussex Railway. Our room was very spacious and the bed was super comfy. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was good. and a secure car park is included with the stay. Would highly recommend"

"Staff, food & ambience"

"Hotel with the wonderful old vibe with absolutely fabulous, friendly and helpful staff ever!!, Great pub, dinning area and decent breakfast available and dog friendly!. Walking distance to other nice places in town."

"Staff on check in were really lovely, friendly and helpful. Carried our suitcases upstairs which was much appreciated and provided iron and ironing board within minutes. Room 14 is a safety hazard! Tiny step in to the bathroom which is really easy to miss and I actually had a bad fall when staying. There's also a step down in to the bedroom part of the room, so be really careful if you stay in this room. Someone had pre set an alarm on the TV to 5:45am so if you stay here, make sure to check...

"We went for the comfort room. It was tiny. Nowhere to hang or layout clothes, not even a chair to put things on. Superficially clean but needed a proper deep clean. Breakfast was fine (good range of cooked options) and location excellent. Certainly not worth the amount we paid for it (over £160). We plan to return to Rye as it is such a beautiful town but we will find somewhere else to stay next time."

"Our room was outstanding, the staff were amazing. Only issue we had was we couldn’t work out the egg machine at breakfast but again staff were super helpful"

"Staff lovely and v accommodating"

"I"

"Everthing was perfect , good location to visit Ashford designer outlet, just in front off Ashford internacional station, good breakfast , helpfull staff and clean Room,"

"The hotel is a lovely old pub & breakfast is good. Our room was hot & thought needs to be given to improving the fans in the room. There are a couple of free, open 24 hours car parks within a 2-4 minutes walk. It's old so floors are uneven and there are a lot of half steps."

"Advertised as an apartment with breakfast included. But in reality is a chalet bedroom and ensuite. Breakfast was 2 mini yogurts in the fridge, a couple of tiny croissants and cereals. Beverages are DIY. Check in is via a member of staff behind the bar in the pub. Unresponsive to phone calls with the number provided prior to the stay where I attempted to know if there was possibility of an earlier check-in but since not being able to get through I had to check-in at the standard 3pm. "Staff were helpful. The bed was very comfy and the room was clean and big. The breakfast was nice and fresh and the check in/ check out was very easy."

"Self service check in, room could do with a bit of an update, paint peeling off the ceiling, we had to jam the door with a business card to stop it rattling in the wind, but it was good for what we paid for! It was cheap & cheerful! Clean bedding and comfy bed! Would we stay again?? Yes!!"
