"A great place to stay if your on a business tripmas I was or looking to book yourself a treat. Great room, although note I was in room 5 which lovely, but was over the outside part where music is piped to people sitting outside. This didn't switch off until about 11pm. Aside from that top hotel"

"Lovely hotel with old world charm, friendly staff and fairly good breakfast. Modestly sized bed and bedroom, large bathroom with bath and shower. Only secondary double glazing, and as my room faced the main road, it was very noisy until midnight. There are rooms at the back of the hotel that should be quieter. No desk, so working was a bit tricky. Overall, a very pleasant two day stay."

"Staff were extremely helpful and professional the whole time. Our room was very nice & clean but a bit worn - the carpet had a lot of marks, and a few things needed a bit of repair like a loose window. I'm a sensitive sleeper and unfortunately the curtains did not fully cover the windows which let in light from the lamps outside in the courtyard. We had treatments at the spa which were very nice, and the spa itself was well set up. We did have dinner in the restaurant but I think it was very overpriced for some not particularly well cooked food - for £28 I would expect some really delicious pork and not need to order chips as well to be fed. Therefore we decided not to have breakfast in the hotel. There was a wedding on at the time and it didn't disturb us at all, but I suspect it meant the staff were a bit stretched. We did walk around the grounds which were very nice!"

"Receptionists were very welcoming, informative and friendly. We found all staff to be friendly and helpful. The bar staff worked extremely hard, and dealt with the volume of customers in a friendly, respectful and professional manner. Breakfast and service were very good, staff friendly and helpful. My only very small grip would be the quality of the black pudding, very poor and too thin to be called ‘black pudding’. I was very disappointed, as it’s my favourite breakfast item. Delighted with our room, very clean, well presented, lovely decor, everything worked really well, we especially enjoyed the powerful shower. We would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend this hotel to all our family and friends. Thank you for helping in making our stay a memorable one with our very dear friends.
