"Rooms here are great, each one is quirky in their own way, and a lovely touch to have radio playing in room as background music on arrival. The 2 ladies that greeted us on arrival were welcoming and showed us all (4 guests) to our rooms. Evening meal in the bar was great too, cold and frosty outside, the pub reminded me as something out of The Holiday!!!"

"Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay."

"Perfect spot to visit York and surroundings. Place is useful. Parking plenty of EV pods. A shopping centre close to the hotel allows all food breaks. "

"Our room was beautifully decorated and very clean. Bed was really comfortable tho pillows were a bit soft for me, but that's a personal preference and I didn't ask for a change. We managed to park outside hotel on the street, so no issues there. Only a five minute walk into town centre. Great location, geat hotel. Thank you 😊 "

"Great central location, lots of restaurants and shops and tourist activities on your doorstep, very walkable. Really handy having on-site parking at a reasonable cost. Good choice at breakfast for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians and very fresh. Bar area is lovely and comfortable place to sit, dining room a functional area and staff great. Didn’t use fitness suite. Reception staff very welcoming. "

"We had a lovely relaxing 3 night stay at The Studley Hotel. Our room was clean, spacious & provided full amenities. The staff are very welcoming & efficient. We had breakfast served in our room which was spot on 👌. The Orchid Restaurant on the ground floor is superb. We would be delighted to stay here again 👍"

"Comfortable bedroom and so good for dogs. The area, the surroundings, the treatment from staff, all excellent. The food was surprisingly incredible (venison was to die for) and I’d go back there just for it. My dog got a sausage for breakfast which was a genuinely kind gesture. 10/10. Lovely area to walk around with cute farm animals next door."

"Great place - Sophie went out of her way to accommodate us when there was a glitch in our reservation. We ended up staying 2 nights, and it was lovely. The breakfast was outstanding, and our room was clean, spacious and well decorated. The view out our window was beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable. Sophie was wonderful, so kind and helpful. We will recommend to anyone visiting Yorkshire. "
