"Lovely village, very friendly locals nearby Bude. Parking is offsite at a free car park and is easily accessible in a few minutes walk. Lovely old building with an old school pub and beer garden. Breakfast was awful. It consisted of a, selection of moody cereals ( no milk), and a singular banana. Variety of spreads, but no bread. Dirty coffee machine and tea making facilities, again no milk… No one onsite working in the morning so we didn’t have anything to eat. The gent that checked us in also misgendered my girlfriend on arrival. He walked over and said and I quote, ‘alright lads’. She wasn’t best pleased. Room however, was decent. "

"Although situated next to unbuilt apartments, this was a clean, spacious and well equipped apartment. Good value for money and easy to access with good parking. "

"Reception staff very friendly, as was the slightly older gent serving breakfast on bank holiday Monday. For an independent hotel it’s a good standard on the whole. We had room 3 which was very large but the floor is shot. I feel for the poor people in room 4 underneath as the floor creaks with every single step. Also the room was noisy from early as the main windows overlook Sainsburys car park and there was deliveries and reversing announcements/beeping so if you want peace that’s not the room for you. Bar area was nice, staff were pleasant, not particularly friendly but certainly not rude. Great location everything in easy walking distance. Very good breakfast. "

"The road coming down to the mill isnt great you almost need to do a 3 turn ,on entering the mill your hit with a musty smell also in the room"

"Beautiful Hotel, the scenery is stunning, the only faults are in some of the rooms they have had to add on suites, however they are so small it’s difficult to even move in them, if you are a tall person you would not even be able to use the bathroom with the door shut, it’s a shame because otherwise everything was lovely."

"Our first visit and we were delighted with the accommodation and facilities. The two bed house was quiet, spacious and fully equipped. The leisure facilities were great, with a booking system in place. And the teams were friendly and helpful. "

"We had a great time - unique seaside and fabulous village`s location, fantastic design of the hotel, attention to detail, cosiness, very friendly staff, lovely, delicious rich breakfast. the room was uniquely cute - old England with modern service, very clean, coffee machine, table-top stylish airconditioning, tea set with local biscuits and tea, cute ceramic cups, warm throw, local drink filled fridge, huge TV screen, tall soft bed, unique warm curtains (throughout the hotel) - all these little things created a great atmosphere for us. Same time be ready - the architecture of the hotel has its own unique age, so some rooms on the highest levels will require you to use very small and steep stairs; our small room for two had a big period beam above one side of the bed, I loved it, same time it can be hard for someone older to crawl under to get into bed. This did not spoil the overall picture at all, but perhaps it is worth knowing about it in advance. You will enjoy this place!"
