"From the moment myself, my daughter and mother arrived we totally relaxed, the hotel has a very tranquil feeling, the grounds are beautiful, the staff are professional and friendly. We stayed in the Rokeby Suite which was spacious, tastefully decorated and very comfortable, the attention to detail with the toiletries and the soft fluffy towels in the bathroom gave the feeling of luxury. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay whilst we were visiting...

"Hotel is really nice and good location by the riverside. Retains a lot of character. Good value. Room is nice and spacious and restaurant is good. Negatives: car park is too small and we couldn't park onsite on check-in (also not free). Also out hotel room was not ready on arrival and this affected our plans for the day and could only check in late at night. Finally the spa is not included in your room price which is a shame - would rather pay a bit more to have this included in the cost. Also...

"Was attending a funeral not very far from hotel and they were able to accommodate about ten adults and two teenage children. The rooms all suited our needs. My bathroom was a little dated but very clean. Other people in my group had beautifully refurbished bathrooms. Probably a work in progress. I only had the continental breakfast and there were a lot of options with limitless tea and coffee. The staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. Would recommend. "

"Beautiful building, lovely setting, immaculately clean everywhere, lovely public areas & staff very helpful & friendly. It would benefit from continuous housekeeping assessment & maintenance in the bedroom areas though - our room was a lovely very large, front facing one but the bathroom sink plug mechanism was broken & part of one of the curtains was hanging off the rail. Little things matter! Whilst there they also seemed to be having a lot of trouble with their card key system. Two...
