Rivers Edge Cabin
Small cabin located in the big south fork national park. There is canoeing, kayaking, walking trails, historic train rides all near by. Very private, very relaxing to sit on the porch in the rocking chairs and watching the cars go by if you enjoy that. Not recommended for motorcyclist due to the hill on the entrance of the driveway.

Perfect location for what we were trying to do. Clean. Beautiful waterfall in the backyard. The owners were very kind to us. Will come back in the summer. Thank you.
Great location convenient to Big South Fork Cumberland River
Spent one night while doing nature related activities in the area. Location was very convenient to the Big South Fork and local hiking trails. Host responded quickly to messages.
This property was great, exactly what we needed for a wonderful weekend getaway! The host were great, left lots of unexpected amenities, plenty of suppliers, clean and everything smelled great! We’ll definitely be back if we need a place in that area again!
We had a very good experience!! Owners were very easy to talk to. Lots of extras that we were not expecting that made it even more enjoyable. We were able to walk down to river and trails from the cabin.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
This was a mid winter stay. We just wanted some private time together. So we didn't do a lot of things we would have in warmer weather. That fire pit looks like a lots of fun. The porch is lovely, but it's cold while we're here. Love that we can see and hear the the river. The hosts are phenomenal. Good information and a relaxed check in and check out times.
I can't even put into words how amazing this experience was for me and my husband. He teared up 3 times because we had to leave and this is his dream home. Woods, a cabin, and nature. All we could ever want plus more.
I enjoyed my stay and the communication with the host with easy. The place was very simple but offer a lot. Location. Porch was nice for relaxing. Fire pit. Small waterfall. Great for hiking weekend!
We absolutely enjoyed our stay here!, beautiful location, great cabin, hassle free check in, the cabin itself is like home from home, it has everything uou need and everything you likely forgot, from the snacks to a case of water in the fridge, to bug repellent should you need it, comfy bed and nice linens, we will absolutely stay here again!! We were able to check in early too which we were grateful for. Thankyou for this treasure in the woods!
Great little cabin in the woods. One of the few that can be found on the west side of the river. Excellent base camp for hiking the Sheltowee Trace or for seeing Big South Fork. The host was EXCELLENT! Very responsive and truly invested in you enjoying your stay. You are in the woods with all of the moden conveniences. Great price too. We would stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay at the rivers edge cabin! The cabin was well air conditioned, the kitchen appliances were new and the place was stocked with snacks and toiletries. The host even provided thoughtful supplies like insect repellent and a tablecloth for the patio table. Sitting on the deck looking at the trees while listening to the river was so relaxing. And the trailhead to princess falls was just walking distance away. We are looking forward to going back again and exploring the area more!
Great over all experience. Close to Yahoo Falls, Cumberland Falls and Eagle falls, Lick Creek Falls and Princess falls. So plenty to hiking areas available. The river was with in walking distance. Just about 10 miles to Kroger so able to get food and a few places close to eat at also. Porch was a nice place to relax and rock in the rocking chair.
Had a great experience listening to the rain on the covered porch last evening. All the lightning bugs too!
Morning was so beautiful. A cloud, or fog, floated above the river and moved with the river, at dawn. All l I could hear was the small waterfall and birds singing. Then I saw a box turtle hanging out. It was so cool I had to take pictures. He was just being a turtle. Looking at me with one eye like turtles do.
Loved the cabin! Very comfortable, beautiful and relaxing . The kitchen comes with all the amenities you would need. Even a tiny waffle maker. Bring waffle batter. You’ll want to make waffles. I brought stuff to eat and microwaved it but if you wanted to bring groceries and cook, you could do that too. Made some coffee this morning. Went out on the front porch and was surrounded by tall trees and birds singing. Stayed warm and dry sitting in the rocking chair on the covered porch when the rains came and went.Wish I could have stayed longer!
We loved this cabin! It’s only a short Walk to the river for fishing, and hiking on the Sheltowee Trace trail is just across the river. The kitchen is well equipped and has modern appliances. It’s very cozy and we hope to return!
