"We booked this place to celebrate my husband's Memorial Day weekend birthday -- just the two of us. We wanted time on the lake outside of the Charlotte Motor Speedway/Coca Cola experience I bought him for his birthday. The property exceeded our expectations -- so much so, we didn't eat a single meal out, opting to cook/grill out to maximize our time on the lake. We wanted for nothing. The place was clean, beautifully decorated, with every amenity -- the kayaks, paddleboards, firepit, dock...

"We had a great time. The host quickly got back with me what I had a question. Sitting and watching the water was so relaxing, the hot tub was clean and fun. The fire pit was amazing also. The outside dining was nice to have as well. Privacy was a 10/10."

"My family & I were in NC for my nephew’s graduation. Jamie’s place was perfect for our stay! It was very cute, cozy, and clean! Beds and pillows were comfortable and neighborhood was quiet. While we weren’t there for the lake, it was a nice bonus to be able to look out the front windows and see the lake or sit on the front deck and enjoy it! Jamie was very easy to work with and answered any questions I had very quickly. House was well stocked with anything you would need. She even had a pitcher...

"We chose the Azaela Cottage b/c our daughter was holding her wedding 3 doors down. But it was perfect for the parents of the bride. Far enough away from all the wedding shenanigans, but close enough we could easily help w/anything required. B/c we were there for an occasion, we didn't get to experience all the cottage/lake amenities, but it was still a lovely place to unwind & enjoy our time away from home. Would love to stay again & see more of the area."

"My father and I and my dog stayed at the cottage to visit my daughter who attends LR for a track meet. The beds were super comfy. My dog loved the yard to play frisbee and round around. The location of the home is perfect to explore and support local shopping and dining in downtown Elkin. The home was clean and provided us everything that we needed for a comfortable weekend stay. "We booked this property on a mission to go to Emerald Hollow Mine. The cottage was absolutely perfect for our needs. Everyone kept saying it was one of the best stocked rentals we've been to. Plenty of seasonings which is a rare find with rentals! We enjoyed the porch and firepit. Would definitely rent again when we go back!"

"I rented this home as a place friends & family could stay as well as the venue for my husband's 50th surprise party. It had everything my guests & myself could want. Lots of space to spread out while still allowing for large groups to gather. The teens loved the game room & movie theater. Fully stocked kitchen so you can cook anything you desire. The only drawback are all the stairs but us old folks managed just fine! Overall 5 star location & highly recommend."
