"I booked this online and reserved it. They charged me $96 on my credit card (I didn’t know they had charged me until I looked at my card days later. I thought I was going to pay when we got there. When we got there that evening, they said that there are no rooms available. So we left and stayed at another hotel in Schulenburg. I realized days later they still charged my credit card online. & he is REFUSING to refund me even tho we didn’t stay there cz they said there were no rooms left...

"Pool was closed, not advertised. Carpet was soaking wet. Room was sticky ,walls were wet. Mildew smell was horrible, no other room's available per website. No refunds were available on this room when I booked it. I literally threw away $70 and drove to another town to find a room. I could have stayed at a really nice hotel. What a waste."

"Hotel was not as I expected. I was hoping to find a family owned, well cared for, small town hotel but instead we found a small town, family owned tired and outdated hotel. The beds were not bad, but the hotel itself needs much updated. The bed skirts were dirty and torn, the base molding on the walls were coming off, the room refrigerator was nasty, the carpet was dirty and the bathroom floor was dirty. We swam in the pool a bit and it was clean, but had a lot of bugs. They had the “hot breakfast” as they claim, but it was not much to brag about. I did not think for the value we received was worth the price. And I definitely would not stay here again."

"Thanks for not letting me have the first floor room that I requested when I arrived with my 70 pound electric bicycle. Thanks for not having an individual thermostat in the room and you guys get to decide the temperature so I can be hot and uncomfortable. Thanks for having a front desk representative so lazy that she can’t walk 5 feet over to the amenities and show me the medicine that she says is there but isn’t. Thanks for starting breakfast at lunchtime. Other than that, everything was lovely. Thanks again, Disconfort Inn."

"The Gathering is truly a gem!! The location is outstanding- peaceful, filled with nature sounds- a great place to turn off screens and just visit, play, and relax. Rooms are comfortable and great for families. So many things to occupy your time there - swings,pickleball, cornhole, kid toys, tetherball, volleyball, and an aweaome pool! Kitchen was one of the best stocked we've seen, and we definitely put it and the grill to use! The pool was perfect...and the weather cooperated, so much of the time was spent enjoying that! Contacting host was easy and resulted in a quick response to questions. Truly no words to express how enjoyable our time here was and all of us expressed the hope to return at some time!"

"For an advertised non-smoking room, it smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. The bathroom was stained and in disrepair. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were flat and not enough of them. It was cheap and convenient but I’d probably not stay there again. Towels were clean and having a fridge and microwave was nice for such a cheap room. Lack of deadbolts and safety bar was unsettling. The young lady at the counter was very courteous and brought my ID to my room when I forgot to take it. She was probably the best feature of the motel."

"The overall experience was OK we wanted to find out what it was like to sleep in a gedome the outside noise was loud. Some trees would be nice for shade and a sound barrier. The air condition stopped working at night and we woke up sweating tried to call the number they provided for the host left a message. They never got back with us honestly with no AC in the Texas heat at night and no one called us back to resolve the issue. I feel like the problem could have been resolved or we could have switched geodomes for an air-conditioning that worked. I would give it to out of five stars because of the customer service and no AC."
