"Bed was way too firm. Uncomfortable nights sleep. Bar food overpriced. First time staying here. Pool was smaller then we were led to believe "

"The hotel was nice and clean but clearly being run on a shoestring. The person on reception, was also the one behind the bar, also taking food orders and then delivering the food. The heating in the room went off early evening, which then made the room chill down very quickly; this did make me smile, I thought another cost saving!! Sadly there was no cooked breakfast in the morning because they did not want to pay for a chef and then no one on reception at checkout as they only manned it after 10am. The pluses were the staff I did speak to were good, the room was clean and comfortable and the views were lovely. So not all negative, hence 3 stars. "

"Beautiful old property but faded grandeur meant it needs a bit of TLC. Our room and bathroom including sheets and towels were very clean but the carpet was stained the radiator was caked in debris and the cupboard needed a clean. The bathroom looked recently updated and was nice. Amazing views from the rear of the hotel. Good parking and convenient for Bradford on Avon and a short journey to Longlete."

"Very comfortable bed and room. Friendly and welcoming staff at reception, and they gave us a lovely warm cookie on check-in. The only downside, was the sign in sheet was printed in incredibly small font, and the printer clearly needed a service and some ink."

"Nice little find…. Greeted by lovely staff. Room clean and nicely decorated, looked out to a magnificent view. Impressed with the bar and conservatory and again the view. Had a long journey so we decided to eat a evening meal at the hotel. Was not disappointed, the food was superb. Enjoyed the pool, steam room and sauna the following day. Very clean, could not fault. Left the hotel feeling very satisfied with our choice and would love to return again. Ideal area if you want to visit the ‘Clarkson Empire’ and Cotswolds."
