"Discovered this little gem while on a road trip around West Sussex. What a beautiful hotel! Close driving distance to all locations we were visiting, wonderful staff - particularly Katie who was so helpful and kind - we also lucked out with a gorgeous tearoom attached to the hotel, Blooms, which seemed to be a popular place for non-staying guests too. Definitely recommend this and the hotel - would stay again in a blink! Thank you!"

"Large room, with ok bed but thin walls. Pub is closed and hotel bar a bit dark and empty. For breakfast they had unbuttered bread under the eggs instead of buttered toast, which was odd. Overall a bit run down, but it is in a good location and there is parking."

"Thank you to Nicky and Pete for their wonderful hospitality. They have a lovely property with some fantastic walks and pubs locally. I travelled with my labrador Harry who was also spoilt with treats, food bowls, soft bedding. I was welcomed with that wonderful jam sponge! Very tranquil surroundings with lots to explore and a small private garden which is grateful Harry. Definitely will be back. Property mate clean with everything you need to enjoy your stay with"

"I would describe the stay as travelodge level rooms- fairly basic. Probably a 2-3 star stat. Standard of cleanliness isn’t great- the room had a faint smell of damp or urines. The mugs in the room were also dirty The facilities were surprisingly impressive- a good sized pool and proper gym. We stayed here and spent the first day in Portsmouth and the second day in Chichester. It’s a good and accessible location."

"Very nice location and perfect for a short stay. Minor criticism the settee is very uncomfortable and one of the beds, the one without en-suite needs sorting as you roll into middle. Luckily I was not sleeping in it"

"Beautiful terraced cottage in a lovely quiet village. Wonderful kitchen and bathroom. Pet friendly. The River Em runs right through the back garden. A super cute and comfortable stay. We will be back with friends! "
