"A really weird thing happened to us in the hotel restaurant. We ordered dinner, food was OK. Waitress asked if we were paying cash or credit card. I said cash. She went to the register and came back and told us verbally that it would be $48 (which I think may have included the cranberry juice that didn't come). No paper bill. I gave her $60 expecting her to come back with change. No change, she just came backa few minutes later and said "have a nice evening." I thought OK, she got a nice tip but I'm not going to fight about it. But the whole thing was weird. Also a bit strange checking in that they had a hard time finding our Expedia reservation."

"I didn’t see the following in reviews for this property, but I also didn’t read all of them. 1. Excellent location. It’s a quiet and classy area. Everything is street friendly walkable. 2. Shaw Park, across the street. Excellent for human walks, dog walks and children to play. Lots of green space, a waterfall and two playgrounds…. among other areas. 3. MetroLink …. 10 min walk down the street and around the corner. Easy ticket machines to navigate. About 40 min train ride to the Arch/Union Station/City Center and everything in between. Easy on, easy off. 4. Hotel is located by the county courthouse and station. Added presence of police cars may bring comfort to some. 5. Hotel does NOT have a pool. My boys were disappointed, but I should have double checked before I said anything! "

"For the price of this hotel, I was incredibly disappointed in both our room as well as the staff. Our room was not very clean when we arrived, and there were stains on the sheets. We had a two night stay and expected our room to be cleaned the next day. Nobody had visited our room at all. Honestly felt like a discount Hampton Inn. The staff except for the bartender were not very kind or welcoming. I would not stay here again."
