"We didn’t stay! Didn’t feel safe at all. There was a drunk loitering in reception, the room was freezing cold and the lock not at all substantial. My daughter burst into tears when we got into the room. This hotel is probably suitable for workers looking for dogs but definitely not somewhere for women to stay alone. "

"Disappointing experience . When I informed reception at 6.15 pm that we had no water for the bath or shower I was told there wasn't any maintenance available . So neither I or my wife could have a shower that evening or the next morning ( today ) . On check out I reminded the manager of this problem , but no redress or discount was offered ; until I asked for a discount . Even then the only discount offered was the removal of the service charge on the evening meal ( as this charge was discretionary I could have refused to pay it anyway ) . When paying £250 per night , the least that can be expected is running water !"

"Exactly what we wanted! A relaxing, comfortable and quiet weekend away with friends. Great wine in the bar while overlooking the spring garden. The bedrooms were perfect. Massive king bed and a good shower. Very quiet in the bedrooms too. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel as well. Everything was cooked to perfection and arrived in a timely manner. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Lovely staff, room cold heater not working, bed lumpy (springs digging into us) used shower few times on last occasion someone come up from downstairs telling us water coming through downstairs, blind broken and not working properly "

"We booked this property based on the photos and description, which suggested a bright room with a sea view. Unfortunately, the reality was quite different. Our room was located at the back of the property with very limited natural light and no meaningful view. This was not clearly communicated in the listing. The overall cleanliness was below expectations. There was a noticeable smell in the room, and we found a used deodorant left underneath the children’s bunk bed, which had not been removed prior to our arrival. The room layout was also misleading. The “parents’ sleeping area” is not a separate room but rather a raised bed with very limited space, which was not clear from the description. Additionally, there is no on-site staff before check-in opens at 3:30 pm, meaning guests may have to wait outside with no access or assistance. Due to these issues, we decided not to stay and left immediately."

"The location was perfect, it was quiet overnight, staff were lovely and helpful, the food was really good. Parking easy. All in all a lovely hotel "
