This cosy cottage is a great base for families to explore St Ives and the surrounding area from. Situated in the centre of town, the cottage is close to the shops, pubs and restaurants and only a five minute walk to the harbour and beaches. There is a lounge/diner and well-equipped kitchen on the ground floor and the three bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first and second floors. Outside there is a small patio area with seating and a parking space for one car.

Underwhelming. Looked tired and worn, in need of freshening up. Information booklet had no contact numbers at all, which wasted our time when we needed help. Also, cooker info in the pack was for a different cooker and there was no access card for the Tate gallery despite the pack saying there was one. Empty air freshener and toilet cleaner left in bathroom, and similarly with cleaning products in kitchen. The kettle leaked when poured (in our case over someone’s foot). However, this was very quickly replaced with a new one. The dishwasher basket for cutlery was broken, so cutlery dropped through. The bath was chipped and the toilet seat was loose. Unlike most places, there was no welcome pack of essentials e.g. milk, tea & coffee. Overall the property was unremarkable, but clean and functional and in a good location. The beds were all comfortable. Sadly, we felt the owners could have put more effort into making the place welcoming and inviting.
