"The rooms are clean and comfortable. I like the caramel wafer in the rooms as a wee Scottish classic. Staff are always great people, very personable and human giving a lovely feeling to the place. The bar and the fire have a cosy and warm atmosphere, with great real ales on tap. Breakfast has the classics, and sets you up for the day well."

"Our room was very clean, loads of room including large seating area. Bed extremely comfortable & cosy. All staff were friendly and attentive. Dinner was excellent on both evenings. The hotel is pet friendly but dogs were always under careful control & supervision of their owners. The hotel clearly welcomes families and had many non resident diners which indicated a good local reputation too. Happy to recommend to friends & family."

"The house was spacious and well equipped for our family group. We especially liked the large living areas, the games room and the garden grounds.The location was perfect, allowing cycle runs and walks from the door. The possibilities are endless.Communication with our host was excellent and he was very helpful with information and suggestions for cycle routes in the area suitable for our age range."
