"We stayed for 2 nights in the family room which had a lovely comfortable king size bed, ensuite with large walk in shower and air con which was a God send. Very clean and quiet. The staff are lovely, food and drinks reasonably priced, breakfast choices good. The beer garden needs some attention but is secure if you have children or a dog. Steep stairs to the rooms which were a bit difficult with our elderly dog but over all a great stay. Please note, although very dog friendly they do charge...

"Good location for strolling around Langport with its cafes,independent shops , gardens and river walks . The library is very close with an outdoors area . We had a room in the courtyard , good in the heatwave . Sometimes had to park further away in town car park ..still free ,though in autumn 2026 may have to pay . Staff helpful ."

"I booked a double room which was so small. It had a dreadful view over an alley and roof top. So not desirable in any way. The room had a small fan - there is no air conditioning - we roasted - it was so so hot unbearable. With two adults in such a small room with no air-conditioning terrible. What made it worse was that there is a heated towel rail in the bathroom that was permanently on which you could not turn off so the small bathroom was so hot and made the room even worse. "A relatively new hotel with very comfortable room and bathroom. AC provision especially great during heat waves. The restaurant is excellent and the food is beautifully cooked and presented. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Area around the hotel is a bit rundown but with a car there are plenty of lovely places to visit in Somerset and Devon. Would recommend staying at this hotel."
