10/10 Excellent

"Room cleaned and serviced every day. Staff were always friendly and helpful with any request. Good full English breakfast but only a limited continental option available. Good selection of beers at the bar. There is also locally made ice cream available all day long. Restaurant meals from midday to 9pm. A carvery roast on Sunday is not to be missed. We were there for a week long touring holiday and would be happy to stay there again. Dave & Pam Bradley"

"Room was a little underwhelming for the price - clean enough but very small. Staff though were excellent - friendly and professional. Breakfast was also pretty good though some items had been left under the heat for a while as they were a bit chewy! Overall, not a bad visit but maybe doesn't justify the price compared to other £200+ stays I've had in and around York."

Crown Spa Hotel Scarborough by Compass Hospitality

"We had a lovely room on the 3rd floor but it was very hot as a result of the recent high temperatures. This made sleep difficult until the early hours of the morning when the weather cooled. All the staff we encountered were great - very helpful, pleasant and cheerful. Breakfast was standard but absolutely no complaints. It is a very old property but some way of keeping the upper rooms cooler in high summer temperatures would be a major improvement.. perhaps by increasing the roof insulation"

"Great parking,fast check-in with very friendly, helpful knowledgeable staff. The breakfast menu is superb with fast efficient service. The rooms are clean, and the bed is super comfy and serviced daily and has tea/ coffee making facilities and biscuits. The bathroom has a large shower with soap and shower gel supplied. We look forward to our next visit."

"The rooms were okay, nothing special but clean and adequate, it’s a shame they don’t provide any drawers instead of a couple of open shelves, it would be nice to put your underwear and other personal items away so they are not on show for anyone who walks in the room, a small fridge would also be handy and a small safe to put car keys and valuables in. The outside areas are pretty unkept, and look untidy but use the “we are leaving the grounds in a tatty mess to protect the bees”"
