"We recently stayed at Basecamp Resort in Revelstoke with a group of 16 people and, unfortunately, our experience fell far below expectations.
We had booked two units-one accommodating 10 people and the other 6-which seemed ideal for our group size. However, we were surprised to find that the property allows only one parking spot per unit, regardless of occupancy. This meant 16 guests were limited to just 2 parking spots, which was highly impractical and inconvenient, especially in a destination where most guests rely on vehicles.
Inside the units, we also encountered several maintenance and service issues:
Bathroom door locks were not functioning, which is unacceptable for basic privacy.
During our two-night stay, no housekeeping service was provided.
We did not receive fresh towels at any point.
When we raised the towel issue with reception, we were told to collect them from the hot tub area. However, the towel cabinet there was completely empty, leaving us without a solution.
Overall, the lack of attention to guest needs, poor communication, and operational oversights made the stay frustrating—especially for a large group. While the location is decent and at times convenient, it was the only positive aspect of our experience.
We hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues, particularly around parking policies, basic maintenance, and guest services. With some improvements, this property has potential-but as it stands, we left quite disappointed"
