2/10 Terrible

"Pour la 1ere fois en dix ans, nous avons eu une chambre au 1er plancher #108) qui était infestée de fourmis! Des dizaines marchaient sur les meubles et sur le tapis. J’ai ete au desk pour demander une autre chambre car j’avais réservé pour 2 soirs, et la l’employée me disait que l’hôtel etait plein qu’elle ne pouvait pas m’offrir une chambre pour 2 soirs consécutifs, qu’elle pouvait me changer pour le vendredi mais que le matin je devrais vider la chambre et qu’elle me donnerait une autre chambre pour le samedi. J’ai demandé à parler a un responsables et elle n’a jamais voulu. Nous avons pris la chambre qu’elle nous a donné et le matin venu, une autre employée (Alice) nous a accommodé et nous avons pu garder la chambre pour une autre soirée. Etant une clientèle qui fréquente cet hôtel au moins 2 fois par année pour 2-3 jours chaque fois, depuis plus de 5 ans, j’étais profondément dégoûtée d’avoir une chambre infestée de fourmis et d’avoir eu un service aussi médiocre. Il ne m’ont même pas offert une excuse , une baisse de prix ou peu importe! Rien du tout, un simple désolée pour la chambre aurait ete normal je crois mais rien! Terriblement dessus! Espérons qu’ils traiteront l’hôtel pour les fourmis!"

"Overall this hotel is fine, but a bit tired. We only had 2 towels in our room for 4 people (although front desk gave more when we asked), shower rod was sagging, and you need to park 30 or more stairs down on a lower terrace. Pool area is fun for kids with the slide, but it's only knee-deep, so definitely not what I would call a swimming pool. Breakfast was nice enough and staff were friendly."

"This meant to be one of our highlight of our two weeks Canada’s road trip. We picked this hotel for its location and how this hotel market for relaxation and ambiance. It is on the higher end of the cost per night in the area. Staff was friendly but communication can definite be improve. We stayed two nights, there is building work started at 7am, we were put into a room facing the construction, we were not inform about this when we checked in. The night staff was kind, explain the history and show us around the hotel. I then spoke to reception staff in the morning and they said they will see what they can do. We got back to the hotel late that night, so we didn’t choose to move to the other building, but if we were informed by messages via hotel.com, we might have choose to go back to hotel earlier, to enjoy the hot hub and reset the experience. Most frustrating part probably is at check out, the same lady said the staff should have offered us breakfast, question did no one tell us that. The thing is if you weren’t given a choice is one thing but to be at check out to given another disappointment is annoying. The lady probably shouldn’t said anything. We dislike the over promise. The same lady said she will advise her manager that is currently on leave to write to me, I said let’s see, it’s a week on, still nothing. Another overpromise and under deliver. We expected more for the value we paid, this is constructive feedback. Thank you. "
