"Perfect location "cabin in the woods" Just barely outside of town but feels like your in the wilderness.The rustic gazebo & front porch are a quiet peaceful piece of heaven in the woods. Beautifully decorated in mountain cabin style inside and out. So well equipped & supplied. You only need your clothes and toothbrush. "

"Cashiers Retreat was perfect for our two families to gather for a family wedding. With two suites on the first floor and lots of space downstairs everyone was comfortable. The back deck with the views of the 14th fairway was out favorite gathering spot.We will be back."

"Our overall stay was great. The house was exactly as described in the listing. If you want a peaceful, serene surrounding with really no one else around, this is the house for you. Beautiful location in what feels like the middle of a mountain. Across in the distance to one side you see the side of Whiteside Mountain and to the other side of the property you’re overlooking tree tops and rooftops in the distance. There really weren’t any sounds other than hearing the birds chirp and echo throughout the tree lines. And an occasional woodpecker was a highlight to nature’s Symphony while sitting outside. We spent several evenings outside in the hot tub overlooking Whiteside Mountain, and enjoyed many of the outdoor games that the owners provided. Plenty of board games and activities, including books, on the inside of the house as well. The house had all the amenities we needed for our trip, and were exactly as described in the listing. The owners were extremely communicative, and we appreciate the thoroughness of the details shared with us prior to our trip so that we knew exactly what we were getting into upon arrival. The house is located centrally between Highlands and Cashier’s, although I would suggest it’s a little quicker of a trip into Cashier’s (10-15 min) versus Highlands (15-20 min). We would recommend this house to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the mountains and in close proximity to the Highlands and Cashier’s area. Thank you! "

"Great cabin for a weekend break close to Cashiers and Highlands. Cabin is clean, in good condition and well equipped. Neighborhood is quiet but not too far from the main road. Easy to find. Plenty to see and do nearby. Host is very pleasant to work with and gave detailed instructions and information about the cabin. "

"We had a wonderful stay at this property, despite having poor weather for part of our trip. We are two families, with four teenage children between us. There was plenty of room for all of us to have some space when needed or hang out together for movie nights. The downstairs basement room got a lot of use for pool tournaments and mountain bike storage. The windows on the main level were AMAZING - loved being able to look out from all areas and just feel surrounded by nature! We were pleasantly surprised at how the dry the outside seat cushions were after all the rain - heed the owners’ suggestion and keep the covers on when not in use! Would definitely stay here again :)"

"So very clean, very nicely but simply decorated. Bed was VERY comfortable. Plenty of towels. Kitchen had all the basic needs. And owner was so kind to allow a late check out. We will be back. "
