"We had a lovely one-night stay for my birthday. The staff were friendly and we were given a room upgrade which was a great birthday treat. The original staircase is gorgeous and our room was spacious with a lovely en-suite. The breakfast was great too. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"We had an exceptional experience at Storrs Hall. The buildings and surrounding area were beautiful as was the room we were given. Set right on the lake it was such a great location. But the best part of the experience was the customer service. Every member of the team went out of their way to make us feel welcome and do everything they could to assist us. "I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful host who showed me to my room and told me about the events of the coming weekend. The pub website says that it can be noisy because they have late night events but up on the second (or was it third floor) it was actually fairly quiet even with the Pride after party going on after midnight.
The pub has a small car park that was never full in the week I was there.
The location is perfect, right in the centre of Ulverston and within easy walking distance of bus stops for trips to Coniston and Windermere as well as the railway station for trips along the coast.
I think the only negative point is one that the Sun has in common with most other hotels, not enough teabags!"
