"I had a fantastic stay at La Casa Juan Ranas. It was mid October so the weather was still warm and the local area was vibrant. The view from my suite’s terrace, was truly breathtaking - the best view of Alhambra! It was memorable having breakfast on my terrace and seeing the whole of Granada sprawling beneath the palace. The staff and hotel owner were great and made sure no request was too much - they were really friendly and helpful, arranging trips to the Alhambra. The food in the hotel...

"Quiet spacious rooms with everything you need to self-cater (sharp knife, pans etc.) as well as many delicious options to eat out nearby. Excellent grocery shopping in the department store less than five minutes walk. Taxis and local buses easy to find/use. No 32 takes you to the caves which are a fascinating look at gypsy life. All in all a great base to feel like you belong in Granada."

"A beautiful small hotel with outstanding views. Although it is up a steep hill, the hotel, although basic, is everything you need for a few days stay. The restaurant next door is very good, and used by touists and locals alike. If you are hiking, the hotel has lots of info on trails and is near the start of most main routes."

"This was a pearl just putside Granada that we enjoyed a lot. The two guys running the place (we assume they did at least) really made us feel at home and relax. The balcony with the pool and eating place offered a great view of Granada end the Sierra, which we took delight of greatly."

"Amazing hotel next to Allhambra. Extremely clean, ambient lights and music. Tastfully decorated, with comfortable beds and beautiful modern bathroom. Breakfast was AMAZING! Large choice of food, from savoury to sweet, fresh fruits and various juices. One can also order eggs or salads made to order, included in the breakfast price. We will definitely be back!"
