"Our stay at the Iris Hostel was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are not extravagant but very clean (we stayed in one of the private rooms). They have a washer and dryer on site. And the location is very close to the Sunday market, and is a straight shot up to Do Suthep Temple. We wish we could have extended our stay here. I hope to be back in the future."

Staff were so friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a lovely area walking distance from lovely shops and places to eat and book other excursions. My only complaint would be that the room was quite basic, there was a lot of noise from other AC generators (despite the one in our room being turned off whilst we tried to sleep) and the shower was not hot. "This is one of the best hostels I have stayed in. The staff are friendly and welcoming and organise walking tours of Chiang Mai on occasion to bring people together. The dining area and other outdoor areas are great for hanging out in and meeting the other travellers. The rooms are clean and the beds and pillows are comfy. The breakfast is simple but excellent and the kitchen appliances and utensils are available for cooking and storage of food. The hostel also has a great location."
