"Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. Breakfast very nice , no complaints at all it was 30 degrees when we stayed ,room was very warm but a fan was provided without us needing to ask . There is free parking but wd parked at the ncp which is literally across the road ."

"Hotel short walk from station run by young couple keen to make a difference. Oozes character, surrounded by historic architecture and fits right in. Cafes, restaurants, pubs close at hand with lots of shopping close to hand. I nipped down a nearby alley each morning to enjoy a great riverside walk to the park and home for breakfast."

"2nd visit to this beautiful boutique hotel. Loved the rooms,food & beautiful gardens with plenty of tables & seating areas. Staff very helpful & friendly. Car park close by you do have to pay however we downloaded app and where able to top up following morning. Very central to everything you need bars restaurants shopping and great walks near by. Would highly recommend "

"Fabulous period property with so much charm. There were only a handful of people staying, including me, which made for a very peaceful stay. I slept well, and the rooms had great amenities. I would say the rooms felt dated, but this adds to the charm of the property. The evening food was fantastic, and there was a good selection of drinks available.
