Met, the security guy, was super helpful from the minute we arrived to the hotel. Very well located close to restaurants and shops. Good bed, good shower, good breakfast.

We really enjoyed it, very friendly and helpful staff, nice room, very comfortable bed. Excellent balcony to sit and have coffee or tea, and well located hotel for visiting the downtown area.

Great stay here, Aria, the receptionist was so helpful on my arrival, perfect location, the pedestrian street is right outdoors and the bus stop from Tirana is less then 2 minute walk nice rooms ,very good breakfast, I would stay here again for sure: A big thank you to all the staff

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very attentive, kind, caring and helpful especially Fabiola. They stored our luggage after the check out to have couple extra hours to visit the city.

Wonderful!

The staff here is absolutely phenomenal!! I fell a little in love with the girls at the front desk ((Ola, Marcella, and Estella). They were SO positive, kind, welcoming, and helpful! Fabiola at breakfast is also FABULOUS! The hotel is super cool! It's both modern and comfortable. It's located in a pedestrian zone filled with shops and restaurants. The bus stop is also an easy walk. A tourist information center is also an easy walk. Highly recommend!

The service was above and beyond expectations. My wife had an accident while hiking in Theth, and we had to come immediately back to Shkodër. The staff was so kind and accommodating, helping us with everything we needed, giving us the closest room to the elevator, service from the hotel restaurant (delicious food), ice from the bar to help with my wife’s injury, etc. I can’t say enough about how kind everyone was. On top of that all, the room was excellent, spotless clean, and very comfortable bed. Thank you Hotel Chicago!

It was an okay stay. Staff was amazing. Facility was so-so. Breakfast was a sit down, service breakfast- very nice! but not our type of food. It would have been nice to choose how our eggs were cooked or something like vegetarian vs meat lovers. Breakfast was gluten and meat heavy. Two things we don’t eat. Having 1 or 2 options vs only one option serves all would have been easier to work with. Convenient location, nice facilities, reasonable price. Overall would stay again, my comments are simply suggestions for improvement.

Hotel Chicago was extremely helpful with accommodating our 3 person group on short notice. Hotel staff was always available to help us with parking. The Hotel is ideally situated in the City Center on a promenade. It is a busy place, but you are perfectly located. We planned an independent day trip to Komani Lake. Hotel staff not only helped us book our shuttle packed a beautiful breakfast for our 6AM departure. Breakfast buffet is in a covered airy panoramic room overlooking the City scape. If you are visiting Shkoder, Albania don’t hesitate to book a room here.

Great location in heart of town

Room was on small side, but was comfortable, modern and clean. Location was great. Right in centre. Strange access via basement floor, down stairs then up lift to fourth floor - but there was staff member to help outside with luggage. If arriving by car: DO NOT USE GOOGLE MAPS. It will try and take you to the rear of the property via narrow one way streets. Parking is at the front of the property.

Please note that our map navigation didn't take us to the front of the hotel. Set your destination for the Mother Teresa statue and if she is on your right side, make the first right-hand turn onto the white marble road and you'll see the hotel. It faces the Xhamia e Madhe-Ebu Bekr Mosque. About us: we are a normal couple of working class Americans from Alabama. The hotel treated us like the most important guests they'd ever had. They are the nicest people, they took car of everything, parked our car, made sure we didn't leave without a traditional Albanian breakfast. The room was immaculate. The restaurant is off from the bar where there's no smoking. Food is great. The manager helped us plan our tour of Shkoder which is a very pretty city. This is a five star hotel experience for 3-star prices. I highly recommend it!

Good/Bad and smoke filled

The Good/Bad and Smoke Filled Pros: Rooms are very nice and fairly new, bathroom was spotless and the shower is wonderful. Hotel is located in a great location, close to the main square and restaurants. The staff was all very good and very nice, the girls at the front desk and the bar were very helpful. Cons: Biggest issue is the main lobby/restaurant area is a smoking restaurant. So while you are eating breakfast there is smoke everywhere. The Wifi in the room also did not work... we had to sit by the door in our room hallway to book our onward tickets or use the wifi at all. The rooms themselves don't smell like smoke and there is no smoking in the hotel rooms itself which was nice. Breakfast is pretty good its just different, you don't actually pick what you eat, they just bring a plate full of spinach pastries, eggs, bread, tomatoes, cucumbers and random other bits.

During our trip to Albania, we stayed at a hotel in Shkodër. Its central location was convenient, but it turned out to be a disadvantage at night due to the noise — it was hard to sleep. We were able to stay in the same room with three friends, which was an advantage for us. However, the breakfast was disappointing. The items were not prepared with much care — the cake was dry, and the cheeses seemed a bit stale. The drinks (tea and coffee) were served from a bar-like area, and you couldn’t get them whenever you wanted. When we handed our cups to the barista for hot drinks, she served us with an unpleasant expression. On the bright side, the reception staff were kind and friendly.
