So i messaged the host and she told me she had been on vacation and the house was already booked by someone else. So, we were stranded with our family and there were no rooms available anywhere, unless we paid at least 3 times what we had already paid out. We were there to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday. "We really enjoyed our short stay at the Carthouse. It's a lovely property in Axbridge, with Cheddar Gorge within easy reach. Communication with Val was excellent and also waited on the side of the road to show us the entrance to the side road. The Carthouse was spotlessly clean and Val had left several thoughtful items to get us started including bread, milk, wine and cider! Thank you Val, it was much appreciated. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this lovely property."
