"This hotel looks new and modern, very cozy. There’s no cafe within the hotel but there’s a small pantry with free coffee, microwave oven and table/chairs for us to have our drinks. We drove around 3-5 mins to restaurant and convenience store. Self service laundry at ¥500 for wash, ¥100/20 mins for drying. room wise, pretty spacious with a small couch by the window. Overall a really beautiful hotel, highly recommended. "

"It was a quiet and wonderful stay on the Japanese countryside. It's a bit out of the way, so make sure when planning your way there you follow the shuttle instructions or have another way of getting there via car or taxi. Staff were friendly and accommodating and helped to contribute to a memorable vacation"

"When I first tried this hotel, I used the daily use onsen. I fee; in love with the cave onsen. We now stay at least two nights ove night to use the floor 33 onsen as well as the cave onsen. They have a nice breakfast and dinner buffet. We like the Western style room with western beds as well as a living room/dining room that you can have the Japanese futons."

"I am so happy I found Hotel New Palace. The rooms are clean and large, staff is gracious, breakfast is really good. The onsen is a bonus. So nice for a relaxing soak every evening. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here in the future if I return to Shingu. "

"Hotel was an 8 minute walk from the train station, easy as. Hotel was clean and staff friendly and welcoming. Room was gorgeous, traditional Japanese room with the most amazing view over the water, sunrise and sunset was beautiful. Room was very comfortable as was the futon for sleeping. Bathroom in the room (no shower) and the room had everything you needed. Bathing: hotel has a male and female (separate) sento/onsen (communal bathing). Common at the more traditional hotels. You have your modesty towel 😅 to use if you wish. Mattered were two male baths- indoor and outdoor. Indoor was beautifully hot and large in size and being indoor, the steam is a great feeling. Outdoor one is smaller (4 people), and is nice and warm and allows a good balance of being able to moderate your body temperature. Both look at our the water. Don’t be shy to go and use these facilities, great place to talk with people whilst relaxing or keep to yourself. Town is an old port town and is very quiet, not many cars around or people. By 6pm you might see a handful of people walking around. Dining options are limited outside the hotel but they are there, if you walk around the street you will find enough dining options. It’s a beautiful town and easy trip to Nachi taisha. Info office at the station if you need, they speak English and happy to help you. Great time and highly recommend this hotel."
