"An older hotel but very clean with some nice updates. Breakfast was decent, what was offered seemed freshly made. The one piece fiberglass shower sloped towards the drain, (which it should), the floor became SUPER slippery once wet and even wirse when you add shampoo and soap, I would recommend putting some type of grip mat/water proof tape down. The staff was amazing and we would definitely stay again"

"I have stayed at many VBRO sites and this one was the one I never wanted to leave. Beautifully situated on Lake Lay, the home was inviting and warm, but not pretentious - it felt like HOME. The owners were easy to communicate with, answered all questions in a timely manner and super helpful. The location is perfect - just far away enough to feel like a retreat, but close enough to great food and other fun. Oak Mnt State Park not too far, and highly recommend a trip to that. The beds were so comfortable, plenty of pillows, and the bathrooms were swoon-worthy. Kitchen fully-stocked, furniture inviting. We paddle boarded on the lake (we brought our own, but they have kayaks), rested and read on the screen porch, and did yoga on the dock. It was a perfect retreat and we can't wait to return. "
