"It is a fabulous resort. We cannot ask for more. Each cabins faces the lake. They have canoes, paddle boards, etc. They accept dogs which is great. The cabin was clean, spacious, quiet. The receptionist was excellent and fast."

"Cute and quaint, cozy little retreat in the woods. Lots of bird songs to hear, but note that sounds of nearby road are also noticeable. Enjoyed a few good movies as there is an interesting selection of dvds. It is perfectly relaxing; don't forget your bubblebath!"

"We booked this for our 20th anniversary. The guest house was just perfect. It had everything we needed. The hot tub was great and the view from the hot tub was amazing. It was very private. There are trails close by that go for miles.The town of Sooke is just 5 minutes away and had everything we needed. The hosts were kind and inviting. Their directions and suggestions were much appreciated. We went there to relax and disconnect. Mission accomplished! Though, if you are looking for more...

The house was absolutely beautiful, and every detail was thought about. We were absolutely blessed with the northern lights sitting by the fire outside toasting marshmallows. "What a gorgeous house - we felt like we were sleeping in a west coast art gallery! All the little details to make life easy are thought of - the house is immaculate and you can tell building it was a labour of love. Our family enjoyed hiking directly from the house - a beautiful and easy trail to hook into the China Beach Campground trail to the beach."

"Spent our first night and husband and wife. Was nice to get away from the city without having to drive too much. No frills basic stay. No light pollution on the night of Perseids meteor shower made for some romantic star gazing. Mongolian yurts were interesting to see! Thanks for a nice stay!"

"Beautiful little cottage in the heart of Shawnigan. The garden was incredible. Wonderful walking trail around the lake. This was a perfect getaway. We will definitely book this gem again in the future."

"It is always nice to stay here from the entry to the room the property promotes eco living. Their foyer is beautiful and a great place to sit and chat. Free EV charging was also appreciated, being able to get up and go is priceless."
