"From the moment we arrived Carol made us feel welcomed. She showed us to our room and explained meals times. She made us feel so at home. The room was cosy and decorated in the style of the coaching inn. Dark furnishings and a king sized bed. Lots of drawers to store clothes and a good sized wardrobe too. Lovely modern shower room with hand wash, body wash and shampoo products provided. Ironing board, hair dryer, trouser press and tea and coffee making facilities, tv and bottled water also...

"Stayed for one night to use as a base to go to football at Brighton. Ten minute walk to the railway station and then a short journey to Falmer which is right next to the stadium "

"We came from Australia to be central to family for 6 nights. This amazing inn felt like home and the staff were so lovely and welcoming along with the food being amazing. Our room was very cosy and felt relaxing after long days out. I would stay here again as I have never felt so relaxed after a long flight from the Uk! Julie the landlady is so kind and caring looking after her guests! 100/10! Highly recommend!"

"Beautiful place with lots of character. Rooms were smal but well appointed with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast served was pleasant but the service was ridiculously slow and the food average with coffee that was moderately warm, however, I would definitely stay there again."

"The location of the hotel is stunning, with great views from the top of Leith. Very, very quiet surroundings. The room was comfortable but with repairs needed to furniture and equipment. Food was good quality but be prepared for a wait. An interesting stay!"

"Welcoming pub, just stand between the beams if you're 6ft+ tall. Be aware breakfast only starts at 0830 which is too late for most working people but they made me a sandwich to take with me instead so that was appreciated."

"We stayed for 3 days after our 14-night cruise and were able to wash and dry all our clothes. The washing machine was very handy. The provided clothes hanger had seen better days but we made it work. The location was fabulous and close to heaps of restaurants and pubs. We caught the local bus to Lewes for fun and had a great day. The apartment is quiet and comfortable. We would recommend to stay here. "
