We've stayed at a couple of different Jinjiangs on Changing Road and this one is better than the other. The rooms are very clean and the staff very accommodating (its seems like many even speak some English). They have pretty fast wired internet which is nice given how slow it is in most budget hotels in China. The beds are very comfortable by Chinese standards. It's about a ten minute block to metro lines 2,3 and 4, which will get you to most places of interest in the city. The surrounding neighborhood isn't that interesting, but again, it's fairly easy to get to more interesting parts of the city. If arriving by taxi, make sure to tell the driver both the address and name of the hotel. It is part way down an alleyway and not visible from the street, but there is a sign in front of the alley to direct them, if they know that's the hotel you want. We never remember to do this, so they always look really confused when we ask them to pull over in front of a ramshackle convenience store.
